The division of business administration educates students in a manner that will enhance their opportunities for success in their chosen careers. A well-rounded education is provided with an emphasis in each of the following areas: accounting, business administration, finance, management, and marketing. As a Christian liberal arts university, Belhaven emphasizes the importance of Christian values and ethics. Business administration students will have real-world experience through an internship (BUS 450 or BUS 451 ) or field study (BUS 445 ).

Honors Program:
The business department offers opportunities for students to enroll in honors courses from its department. The following are general education, elective, and major courses that may be taken as honors courses: BUS 360 , BUS 418 , BUS 419 , BUS 420 , BUS 491 , BUS 492 . For students majoring in this department, one must pass a minimum of 12 hours of honors courses within the discipline and a minimum of six hours from the honors courses of other departments. Each course must be passed with a B or better. No more than 18 hours are required for the honors degree.
