COUN 643 - Advanced Psychopathology: Diagnosis and Treatment Planning (3 )

Students learn principles of diagnosis and treatment planning based on the most recent edition of the DSM and the most recent edition of the ICD.  This course explores principles of mental health and risk assessment, case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment planning from a biopsychosocial and cultural perspective.  Students engage with interviewing and assessment skills necessary for proper diagnosis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning.  This course will use knowledge acquired in Abnormal Psychology and Psychopathology. 
PRE-REQ REQ or RECOMMENDED: COUN 610  Previous Enrollment Required
