This course will provide an overview of crisis intervention theory and practice. Students will learn interventions for crisis and traumatic situations, including suicide, death, psychological first aid, family emergencies, natural and man-made disasters, and mental health crises. Models of trauma and the impact of trauma will be reviewed.
