This course will review mental health disorders, behavioral disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders common to children and adolescents. Students will use the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual to learn etiology, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment strategies. This course will use a family systems approach to explore the impact of childhood disorders on the family system.
