MDS 624 - Ethics in Data Science (3 ) GR
New technologies often raise moral questions. With the emergence of new techniques of machine learning, AI, and the possibilities of using algorithms to perform tasks previously done by humans as well as generate new knowledge, ethical questions arise. The course covers key components of data science, such as hacking, transparency in data collection, the right to privacy, and challenges the student to define the boundaries between right and wrong through an ethical lens.
