This course is an immersive in-depth exploration of the values of the Mississippi River alluvial valley as a rich natural and cultural resource. This multidisciplinary course will introduce students to the values, challenges, issues, and opportunities that define the ecological, hydrological, and sociological health of this system which includes not only the Mississippi River itself but also the Gulf of Mexico and the Delta.
