EDU 768 - Leadership in the Educational Organization (3 ) GR
Understand the critical leadership competencies, skills, and characteristics required in providing vision and advancing an organization (the school). Consider leadership theories taken from the business world and other contemporary management and leadership theories/concepts that have emerged over the past several decades. Candidates reflect on their own leadership qualities and skills and consider areas for their own improved personality, professional, leadership, and people skills. Themes of focus include leadership in instruction, curriculum, ethical/moral development, democratic leadership, facilitative strategies, and constructivism, as supported by Christian worldview perspectives and emphasizing the integration of faith-based principles into leadership practice.
