Learn to evaluate teacher instruction and to monitor the classroom academic climate in order to inform decisions made in an effort to improve student learning. Gain a better appreciation of why school, teacher, student, and classroom-based assessments have become a critical component of the instructional and evaluation process needed to inform school improvement. Develop an assessment system which could be implemented in a school building and that is aligned with national and state educational objectives. Evaluate “hard assessment data” in order to develop school improvement plans. This course addresses Standard 1.2 Mission, Vision, and Improvement Standard 6.1 & 6.2: Operations and Management of the NELP Standards
