This course is the second of the two-semester Teacher Residencies required as a full-time teacher of record in a classroom setting. It’s crucial to note that this course spans an entire semester, differing from the seven-week format of previous program courses. Successful completion of this course leads to a recommendation from the School of Education for the teacher candidate to receive their MDE 5-Year Renewable Teacher License. Type of PRE-REQ Enrollment requires approval from the Graduate School of Education Chair, and meeting specific prerequisites is mandatory. Teacher Residiencies must be conducted in an approved MDE Mississippi school. No out-of-state residiencies are permitted.
