This course examines the knowledge, skills and dispositions of effective teachers. Course topics include characteristics of effective teachers; knowing your diverse students; instructional planning; differentiating instruction; teacher-centered and student-centered instructional strategies; and strategies to promote student understanding, thinking, and engagement.
