DAN 401 - Dance Kinesiology (3 )


UG

A course for dance majors that covers the basic principles of human anatomy and kinesiology and their applications within the context of dance training and practice. Emphasis is placed on anatomical analysis, conditioning principles and injury prevention, with special attention given to application of information to technique class, rehearsal, choreography and individual anomalies. Students will be encouraged to mindfully integrate their learning in this course with their concurrent work in dance technique and performance.
