An introductory course designed to teach the fundamentals of developmental editing, manuscript and copy editing, and proofreading. Typically, the current Chicago Manual of Style (CMS) will be the text for the course. Students will be graded on their mastery of the CMS, their ability to apply CMS standards in editorial tasks, and their completion of various editing projects. Limited to 20 students.
