CHE 131 - Chemistry for Health Sciences (3 ) UG
This course comprises an overview of general, organic, and biological chemistry topics, emphasizing health science applications, especially for aspiring nurses. Topics include radioactivity, intermolecular forces, solution behavior, acids and bases, nomenclature, physical characteristics of organic compounds, and selected reactions, focusing on simple organic functional groups and carbonyl chemistry. Biochemical pathways, including cellular macromolecules and their importance in energy storage and metabolism, are also studied.
