UG

This course will serve as an introduction to the language of medicine and healthcare. There will be an emphasis on the rules of building and analyzing medical words, as well as anatomical terminology associated with the human body structures and movements. There will be a systematic approach to defining, interpreting, and pronouncing medical terms relating to structure and function, pathology, diagnostic and clinical procedures, and pharmacology. In addition to medical terms, common abbreviations applicable to each system will be addressed.
