SME 310 - Prin of Strength Training and Cond (3 ) UG
This course will provide an in-depth investigation into the principles of anaerobic and aerobic training/conditioning. Topics to be addressed include the physiological processes of the musculoskeletal system, biomechanics of resistance exercise, bioenergetics and energy system-specific training, nutrition for enhanced performance, and exercise programming and periodization. This course will include an emphasis on the requirements for becoming a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
