This course will examine the need for teaching reading and writing skills in content area classes while exploring the facilitation of English Language Arts Literacy (ELAL) in the elementary and secondary classrooms. This course examines assessment techniques, comprehension strategies, vocabulary development, and explores approaches for building college and career readiness reading and writing skills in the content areas.
