This course is designed to promote a holistic approach to person in the later years of life. Death and dying, biological aging theories of longevity, chronic illnesses and diseases, and prevention and health promotion will be discussed in the context of best practices. Students will explore normal aging and lifestyle factors that promote optimal aging or lead to health alterations.
