NUR 413 - Nursing Care of the Childrearing Family (5 ) UG
This course is designed to provide an integrative, family-centered approach to the care of children. Students will be introduced to the care of the well-child, the child with special needs and the child with acute and chronic health care needs. Concepts of client centered care, cultural diversity, safe practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professionalism are integrated throughout the course. Content units highlight promoting healthy growth and development and the dignity of the child, even during illness. Clinical experiences will provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe client care to pediatric clients in a variety of settings. Type of PRE-REQ Take NUR 414 or NUR 415 . Concurrent Enrollment Required, Offering Terms Fall Only
